The Laboratory of Investigation in Chronic Diseases (LIDoC) is composed of multidisciplinary research. It has experts in the field of physiology of the endocrine pancreas, metabolism and immune system. Even with the participation of researchers in the areas of cardiovascular and respiratory physiology. The group’s main focus is to evaluate physiological and molecular aspects involved in both the pathogenesis and in the prevention and/or treatment of chronic diseases that involves alteration in glucose homeostasis as well as immune system.
